Amy Wagoner Johnson

Amy Wagoner Johnson is a Professor and Andersen Faculty Scholar in the Department of Mechanical Science and Engineering in The Grainger College of Engineering, and a Professor of Biomedical and Translational Sciences and Clinical Sciences in the Carle Illinois College of Medicine. She holds affiliate appointments with the Beckman Institute for Advanced Science and Technology and the Carl R. Woese Institute for Genomic Biology.

Amy’s lab conducts exciting and impactful research in the areas of biomaterials and biomechanics, with applications ranging from bone repair and replacement, to preterm birth, to coral reef restoration.
